I went to Jamaica seeking peace, sunshine, and a little reset for my soul — a chance to slow down, rest, and be still. And for a few days, it was everything I needed… the calm ocean, the laughter, the warmth of the people, and the reminder that beauty glows from within when you allow yourself to simply breathe.

But what was meant to be a time of rest turned into a storm I’ll never forget. Hurricane Melissa — a Category 5, the strongest to ever hit Jamaica — came suddenly and changed everything. Being stranded, hearing the winds roar and watching the skies turn dark, I felt fear, helplessness, and a deep sadness for the island and the people I’d just connected with.

Yet in that same storm, I also witnessed strength. I saw how the Jamaican people stood together, shared what they had, and found light even in the darkest moments. That strength inspired me deeply.

Now that I’m back home, my heart feels bittersweet — grateful for safety and life, yet heavy knowing that so many are still rebuilding, still healing, still trying to find normal again.

So in honor of the beautiful island that reminded me of resilience and grace, a portion of every service and product from Glow Goals Luxury Spa will be donated to help support the rebuilding efforts in Jamaica.

EXACTLY how I felt this morning when I woke up. After an unexpected week of random cancellations, reschedules, and even a no call/no show I was disappointed.

You all see me almost everyday wake up and SHOW UP. I understand that the service I provide sometimes seems to be a luxury but to me it’s TRANSFORMATIVE and I had to take second this morning to reflect on the week I had even with some of the unexpected changes.

To remind myself of the journey that was placed on me to do.

I have CHANGED lives, help stabilize confidence, and moved a movement of self love even though fear.

Blessed and grateful for the clients that trust me….not just with their skin but with their conversation. I have been blessed to be more than just an Esthetician, but a friend, sister, and now even a Glow Auntie.

This job is not easy but I have made it my mission to serve even when it’s hard and yes even when I want to quit. But every-time I think my time has come I get reminded by a compliment, a text, or a phone call of how much my services mean and that is what makes me stay even when it’s difficult.

What’s the difference between a SPF in a moisturizer or a SPF by itself?🤔🤷🏾‍♀️

It really comes down to a few different factors, which is the effectiveness of the product as well as what you needed to be able to do for you. I personally always suggest using an SPF on his phone, especially in the spring and summer months when the UV rays are more higher. ⚡️

This is especially for clients that get sunburn easily or dealing with hyper pigmentation or melasma or someone that has rosacea. 🌹

if you’re nervous about your sunscreen, leaving that gray or white cast, I always suggest making sure you skin is hydrated before apply your sunscreen, warming up in the palm of your hands first and then lightly tap into your skin. 😊
